Good practice & compliance
HSE guidance recommends siting eyewash provision clearly and accessibly, and ensuring suitable volume for your risk profile. Portable eyewash points commonly provide at least 1 L of sterile solution (e.g., two 500 ml bottles) so responders can flush immediately while arranging further care if needed. Always follow your COSHH/first-aid needs assessment.
Notes
- Bottles are single use; replace after opening or once expired.
- Check expiry dates during routine first-aid inspections and restock promptly after use.
